BOUNDARY BOSS BILL OF RIGHTS
Here is your own Boundary Boss Bill Of Rights that you can print out or put on your mobile device or tablet to revisit to remind you that you have rights when it comes to your boundaries and relationships!
MEDITATION AND YOUR ZEN DEN
Meditation has the power to create space in between your thoughts. This gives you more control over what happens in your mind.
Your beliefs can either propel you towards an amazing life or hold you back entirely. Meditation helps you recognize that you have a choice in how you think. If you want to transform your boundaries, relationships, health, finances, or career, meditation can be the foundation for making those changes happen.
Whether you are struggling to set boundaries with your boss, speak authentically to your spouse, or are simply having a tough time, meditation can help you gain perspective and energy by clearing your mind on a daily basis.
It also strengthens your ability to stay grounded in this present moment, which minimizes concerns about the future or a preoccupation with the past. Your real presence energizes any part of your life you decide to focus it on.
If you plan to meditate once a day, the morning is the best time (if possible). There is a space between fully asleep and fully awake that is the perfect mind space to plant intentions and expand internal peace.
If you have a butt and a couch – you have everything you need to meditate!

Creating a sacred space for meditation or to bring comfort is an act of fierce self-care. You can also use your sacred space for reading, energy work, resting, or journaling.
I believe your external space also influences your internal space. Creating a sacred space around you reminds you to tend to the divine sacred space within you.
The elements of your sacred space should mirror what calms, soothes, inspires, and uplifts you. You can include essential oils or beautiful soy candles for a luscious aroma. I always have at least one strand of white twinkle lights for a soothing ambiance. I include statues, inspirational archetypes, photos of loved ones, and flowers, leaves, or moss. Whatever inspires you is perfect.
By creating your own sacred space, you are affirming that you matter. Cuz you do!

This is a Meditation and Zen Den Explainer Video I recorded with Mark Groves. The first time I was on his podcast we bonded over a meditation moment – we both had the same experience with meditation. Our friendship has grown and last summer we did a course together called Crushing Codependency.
At the end of each chapter, I offer two main ways to put your new knowledge into action.
Top of Mind activities to help you expand your self-awareness and Go Deeper integration exercises (don’t skip these!).
THE GO DEEPER EXERCISES are essential for becoming a Boundary Boss. Each one helps you integrate your understanding of Boundary Bossness and guides you to develop the skills necessary to put your knowledge into action. They also help you create sustainable change.
You can do many of the exercises more than once to deepen your understanding and ability.
For your convenience, you can download them all in one PDF to print out or to use on your digital device.
The most effective communication uses actual words. And what I’ve heard from many of my clients is that sometimes they need a little help getting started or knowing what to say.
I’m sharing some additional healthy and effective language that didn’t make it into the book (my publisher wouldn’t let me add in any more words 🤣), that you can use to be heard, seen and known.
Your healing and empowerment come from being able to say what’s on your mind in a healthy, and effective way. It’s my hope that you take these scripts and begin to implement them into your life to be more precisely understood.

HOW TO ALLEVIATE ANXIETY AROUND SETTING BOUNDARIES
I believe your external space influences your internal space.
Creating a sacred space for meditation or to bring comfort is an act of fierce self-care. Taking the time to build a space that soothes and nourishes you has a positive ripple effect. When you take care of you first, you have something to offer others.
